The character of Joseph Henelt aka józef Zenon Henelt (1904-2007), Polish sculptor, was picturesque.

— in 1939, when the World Geurre II broke out and the roads were invaded by the Polish who were fleeing, he was traveling by bike against the grain, from Hungary to Poland, to join the resistance...

— wrapped in the Polish Independent Highland Brigade (he participated in the battle of Narvik in Norway), he carved in London one the best bust of General Sikorski...

— in exile in the United States, he first taught at the Fine Arts School in New Jersey, then became a successful design sculptor for General Motors...

— he get married at 66 years... and had so much life energy, that reached its 103rd anniversary...
